Our
LOEWENBRAEUKELLER BEER GARDEN is a gem and an oasis in the center of a bustling city. During the season it is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight. Like everything else in the LOEWENBRAEUKELLER it has - of course - a long history. It was opened in 1883 and has been actively integrated in the Munich cultural scene ever since. Famous bands played here at the turn of the century, amongst them the renowned Wiener Deutschmeister and the even more famous American march composer John Phillip Sousa and his brass band.

Big shady chestnut trees guarantee a pleasant and refreshing stay on warm days. With the first rays of the sun in March - after the dreary winter days - the garden is popular till October.

The garden can host up to one thousand guests and is divided into a serviced part and a larger area with favourably-priced self service.

A row of market stalls supplies guests not only with the pleasant-to-drink
LOEWENBRAEU beer - fresh from the tap - in steins of one litre each, but also with original Munich beergarden delicacies and BBQ-specialties.

Very often a
"whole ox on the spit" is the special of the day, a unique proto-Bavarian feast you shouldn’t miss. The mobile ox grill is placed in front of the beer garden entrance so you can watch your meal cooked to perfection.

The
LOEWENBRAEUKELLER stands for an authentic beergarden experience for locals and visitors from all over the world alike and will make you forget the troubles of the world and the efforts of travelling!
